Outdoor Refrigerators are
not a very new concept. These have been around for quite a while now.
Refrigerators need not remain limited to the interiors of your kitchen or even
to your house. Refrigerators are of two types – Indoor and Outdoor. As the name
suggests the refrigerators that are put inside the house are called as Indoor
refrigerators and the ones that are kept outside are called Outdoor refrigerators. Outdoor refrigerators can be used when
camping, or having a party or get together outside your house.
Won’t it consume more energy?
The
answer to this question is yes. An outdoor refrigerators consumes more energy
than an indoor refrigerator would consume but the amount of energy consumed can
be controlled by taking some basic steps:
1.Keep
the refrigerator away from direct sunlight, this would make the refrigerator
consume double the energy as it would first need to fight the sun and then also
maintain cooling temperatures.
2.Keep
the temperature set to the lowest and most comfortable temperature. Whether
it’s an Indoor or an outdoor refrigerator, if the temperatures are kept to an
ideal temperature as per the items within it, this would reduce the energy
consumption. We usually do not bother about the temperature and just leave it
to the maximum but what we don’t realise is that it is eating up energy. If you
are storing milk, eggs, meats and any other perishable goods then it doesn’t
make sense to reduce the temperature as this may result in spoilage.
There
isn’t much of rocker science involved in purchasing an outdoor refrigerator.
There are websites like iceandwine.com which have easy payment and delivery
schemes. All you need to order is a laptop, a PayPal account and an internet
connection. The outdoor refrigerator models available on this website are all
checked for quality, are properly insulated, electrically rated and rodent
protected.
Difference between an Indoor and Outdoor Model:
1.Design: An Indoor model is not made of the same material as an outdoor model. An outdoor element is exposed to a number of elements that an indoor model is not. This is the reason that both the models are not made up of the same material. Also an outdoor model is required to maintain consistent temperatures. This requires the refrigerator to have stronger insulation and powerful components.
2.Ventilation:
Outdoor models require at least 1 inch ventilation on all side.
3.Cleaning
and Maintenance: Regular cleaning needs to be done of the outdoor refrigerator.
Since there is high level of exposure thus you need to clean the area around
the refrigerator pump very frequently.
Product Features:
1.Stainless Steel Doors: The exterior body of the outdoor refrigerators is made up of
stainless steel. This is a very high grade and is thus rust proof.
2.Storage space: Usually outdoor refrigerators have a limited storage space as compared to
an indoor one.
3.Waterproof: These refrigerators are made of
waterproof material which does not cause any damage to the fridge if it rains.
